Springbrooke Yoga Retreat & Immersion
with Shelley Tomczyk & Leo Cheung
Feeding the heart of practice. A retreat open to students of all levels and yoga teachers.
Retreat practice provides the space and opportunity to renew and share in the practices of yoga including asana, meditation, pranayama, mantra, silence and reflection. Specific studies will focus on The Bhagavad Gita text and learning the sacred language of Sanskrit as it relates to yoga. This will provide a platform for interesting discussions to broaden one's understanding of philosophy and refine teachings skills for yoga teachers.
Our intention is to create a contemplative environment for learning and nurturing oneself, so that you may feel uplifted and restored. With the emergence of spring and another sacred cycle, may you take this extra-ordinary experience to enrich your everyday ordinary life

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I’ve never been on a retreat before? What do I need to know?
When going on retreat, most things are taken care of for you, like accommodations and food. Transportation is often arrange individually, and if need be, carpooling can be organized if you do not have a ride. The days are scheduled with yoga classes, meals and activities. There will also be plenty of time during the day for your own personal free time. You can participate in the scheduled events as much or as little as you prefer. Everything is entirely up to you.
Do people go on retreat alone or another person?
You can do either one. It’s common for people to go on retreat by themselves as there will be opportunities for people to meet and connect with one another. Going with a friend, partner or family member is also great as they find that it’s a way to bond through a shared experience.
What kind of food will be served? Will you be able to accommodate my allergies/preferences?
Healthy vegetarian meals will be served. The kitchen will do their best to accommodate to your food needs (vegan, dairy/gluten free, allergies, etc). During registration, there will be an opportunity to write down your restrictions and we will make note of that when creating the menu
